The Garner Optimist Club, Christmas Parade Committee and the Town of Garner are partnering this year to combine the town’s holiday block party and tree lighting with the Christmas Parade.

This makes for an afternoon of fun and a twilight parade!

2:00pm to 4:00pm Holiday Block Party (Town of Garner) – Garner Recreation Center Greenspace and Main Street

4:30pm Parade Start Time

5:45pm Parade End Time

6:00pm Tree Lighting (Garner Recreation Center Greenspace next to Main Street)

Route and Parking

Parade will travel down Main Street only.

Like 2021 and 2022, there will be no parade activities or parking along Garner Road. There will be designated parking areas around downtown (Maps below)

IMPORTANT: For you and your family’s safety, Do Not Cross the Railroad Tracks to get to Main Street at any point other than designated crossing locations at Highway 50, St. Mary’s Street, and New Rand Road. New fencing along Main Street cannot be climbed.

There will be a limited amount of parking on the north side of the east end of Main Street between Bagwell St. and Griffin St. set aside for tailgate parking.

These are first come first serve and are being set aside for pick-ups with bed or other vehicles ideal for tailgating.
