Join us on Main Street in Downtown Garner for our annual event featuring 15 food trucks and 3 local NC craft breweries! Enjoy live acoustic/bluegrass music , local artisan vendors, handmade crafts and kid-friendly activities!

DATE: SUNDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2019

PLACE: MAIN STREET FROM PURVIS ST. TO GRIFFIN ST.

ADMISSION: FREE!

Trick or Eat Food Truck Rodeo will be held rain or shine.  Admission and parking are free – our talented parking crew will be on hand at the west end of Main Street to direct you to parking on the day of the event.

Due to the large crowds and food trucks, we ask that pets stay at home during this event for safety reasons.  The Town of Garner does not permit pets (other than service animals) at public events at this time.

Kids’ Activities

The Kid Lab team provides hands-on fun through engaging crafts, sensory activities and play prompts designed to facilitate playful learning for kids of all ages. Check out fun activities like make-take-craft station, a sensory bin (ex. moon sand), and coloring sheets to take home.

Free Parking

Let our excellent parking crew help find you a spot on the west end of Main Street – parking is available at Garner Baseball and the Lions Club.  Limited parking (including handicapped spots) is available east of Griffin Street on Main Street.

Please do not park on the side streets off of East Main Street – the streets are narrow and residents need to be able to get in and out.

There is just something special about watching a movie outdoors

The warm breeze blowing, sounds of summer in the background, and stars shining overhead – Come enjoy cinematic magic in an outdoor setting with your family and friends. We have selected new releases along with some old favorites for all to enjoy.  The 2019 Outdoor Movie Series is presented with support from our sponsors Planet Fitness, Garner’s HomeTowne Realty and the Town of Garner.

Bring lawn chairs and blankets, grab a beer from the local craft brewery on sight, enjoy food, Kona Ice of Garner, or even bring your own picnic, and settle down on the grass for a fabulous night of great food, great beer and great cinema!

When: Thursdays from May 23 to June 27

Time: Movies start at dark – around 8pm

Where: Back Lawn of the Garner Performing Arts Center – 125 Avery St. Garner, North Carolina 27529

Admission & Parking: Free!

In case of RAIN: the movie will be cancelled. We will try to reschedule if possible. Check the Facebook events page the day of the showing for weather updates.

We kindly request that pets stay at home – unfortunately, pets are not allowed at the Garner Performing Arts Center, even outdoors, due to liability concerns.

Parents – Please Note: While we try to pick family friendly films, some films may contain strong language/content that’s not appropriate for younger viewers. We ask parents to use discretion when deciding to bring children under the age of 13. We thank you for understanding.

Our popular Downtown Garner Pop Up Markets return in 2019 as a quarterly event!

Join us April 28, July 28, and September 29 from 12pm to 4pm at Garner Rec Park (205 E. Main St.) for some great shopping, good food, and fun for all ages.  This is our fourth year hosting the pop up markets and we’re excited to welcome back several great vendors!
Part farmer’s market, part craft pop-up, our Downtown Garner Pop Up Market will feature a great variety of vendors selling homemade baked goods, handcrafted jewelry, all natural bath and body products, rustic home decor, and more!

Please note:

While costumes for all ages are welcome, this event does not include trick or treating. We encourage parents to take their kids to Garner Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources’ Trick-or-Treat the Trails at White Deer Park event on Wednesday, October 31st!

Pets are not allowed at events sponsored by the Town of Garner. Therefore, we kindly request that our four-legged friends stay home.

Interested in Volunteering?

Volunteers who help with set up and tear down receive a free Downtown Garner t-shirt and a $10 voucher to use at any of the food trucks.
