Describe your painting:
36″x48″ acrylic painting on wood panel, featuring a child & father playing catch.
What inspired you?
I just wanted to try and capture the pure and simple joy of playing catch with a loved one.
What is your background as an artist?
I have been painting for 20+ years, working in a variety of media including acrylics, oils, watercolors, digital illustration, and pencil (graphite and colored). I specialize in a photo-realistic style, and often with sports-related or sports-themed artwork.
Do you have a connection to Garner or did you learn anything new about Garner as a result of your painting?
As with many people in the area, we are transplants from the Midwest, but love calling Garner home. It’s always interesting learning about a city’s rich athletic history, and Garner’s is no different.
