We’re kicking off the 2026 Groovin’ in Garner concert season with a bang as 80s rock band Rockzilla hits the stage! Get ready for all your favorite throwback jams, epic guitar solos, and vibes that are, like, totally tubular.

And because no 80s night is complete without some radical style—we’re hosting an 80s Theme Contest! So, grab your leg warmers, leather jackets, and biggest hair ever and show us what you’ve got.

Meet Rockzilla: Rockzilla is a seasoned, high-energy cover band from Raleigh celebrated for its versatile rock catalog spanning four decades. With a strong local presence since 2007, they bring unforgettable, dance-floor-filling performances to venues, private gatherings, and themed nights across the Triangle. Whether it's a nostalgic 80s throwback or a diverse party mix, Rockzilla delivers music, charisma, and crowd-pleasing energy.

• Concerts get underway at 6:30 p.m. and continue until 9:30 p.m.

• Chairs should not be placed in the green space area until after 4:30 p.m.

No outside alcohol or coolers will be permitted during the event, but beer and wine will be available for purchase at Zin Yoga Studio and Wine Lounge and Shady's Bar. Grab a drink-to-go and enjoy the social district. Alcohol vendors manage their own alcohol sales and are responsible for identification checks as required by law.

🅿️Parking

Free parking is available along several side streets and parking lots in downtown Garner, the Lions Club, and at Garner Baseball.

Bring a lawn chair and blanket - but if you bring a lawn chair and/or blanket, please place them in the green space area - not on the sidewalk. Please leave the sidewalks open for pedestrians. Chairs should not be placed in the green space area until after 4:30 p.m.

Please leave your coolers and outside alcoholic beverages at home.
