Describe your painting:
A ‘snapshot’ of baseball practice at Garner Recreational Park
What is your background as an artist?
I’ve been and artist since birth but professionally for about 30yrs. I have a love for bright colors in my work, but inspiration can come from anywhere. This is usually emphasize by the variety In my subject matter. I also have an in-progress series of paintings dedicated to the countries Historically Black Colleges and Universities.
Do you have a connection to Garner or did you learn anything new about Garner as a result of your painting?
Two of my kids went to middle and high school in Garner and I have frequently displayed artwork at the GPAC for a number of years. Also, the Garner Recreational Park is one of my favorites.
