Do you love that back to school supply run?
Governor Roy Cooper is teaming up with State Employees Credit Union, Communities in Schools of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Business Committee for Education to kick off the Governor’s School Supply Drive, and Downtown Garner is getting involved!
Your support makes a difference.
Did you know that on average, public school teachers spend about $500 of their own money each year to cover the cost of supplies for their classrooms? We’re doing all we can to help ensure that students and teachers across North Carolina have what they need to have an excellent academic year.
Help us help North Carolina’s schools – locally and across the state.
This back to school season, please consider picking up a few extra school supplies and dropping them off at participating businesses in Downtown Garner:
141 W. Main St.
Open: Tues-Fri 7am-3pm | Sat-Sun 9am-3pm
Blue Wave Deployment
111 W. Main St., Suite 202
Open: Mon-Fri 8am-4pm
We’ll be collecting paper, pens, pencils, dry erase markers, spiral notebooks, tissues and sanitizing wipes through Friday, September 8. If you’d like to help students and teachers start the school year off right, grab a few of these items and drop them off on Main Street or at your local SECU branch.
